I too would like to know what kind of hardware Harley is using when in the field. I was curious as to which Benelli he uses. Also, is your backpack an LL Bean backpack? Love the show, would like to see an episode in the Midwest, i.e. Illinois or Indiana. Thanks

I saw a commercial on t.v. about your program and felt the need to contact ya'll. You guys have to make your way to Massachusetts next fall for pheasant season. Our dog was first trained to be a guiding eyes dog that was released from the program. Now she is a hunting pro! This last season she has put up more than the legal limit.

I have a GSP and who has many strengths in the field. He finds birds, listens and is just an all around great dog. The problem I am having is that he is somewhat gunshy. He did not come the best of homes and I have done a lot of work with him to get him to this point. Any suggestions on how to get him over this hump. By the way we love the show, best outdoors show out there.

Watch the show religiously, when I am not out hunting myself....As for where to get your GSP trained... Try forrestersgundogs.com Britt loves dogs and loves to train. Mine spent all year chasing sage hen and chuker. Thanks Harley for loving something as much as I do. Thanks for pronouncing Nevada correctly. Look forward to seeing you in the field.

HEY GUYS, LOVE THE SHOW! WANTED TO EXTEND AN INVITE TO EASTERN KY FOR A WOODCOCK AND GROUSE HUNT. MAYBE SOME QUAIL AS WELL. ALL WILD BIRDS. THINK THAT IT WOULD BE A GOOD WAY TO GET INFO OUT ABOUT THE ISSUES SURROUNDING THE SOUTHERN RUFFED GROUSE AND THE LOSS OF HABITAT BECAUSE OF A LEGAL BATTLE OVER TIMBER CUTTING IN THE DANIEL BOON NATIONAL FOREST. FIRST WEEK OF NOV.IS A GREAT TIME. OH YEAH, THE USER NAME READS LIKE FIN-N-FEATHERS-KY. GO CATS!

You guys need to find a horseback, AFTCA Field Trial. Some of the best bird dogs in the world compete in these trials and it would make for a great show and a great experience for any bird dog lover.

I have a lewellin setter who is about to start his second season. He was about 14 months old in his first season and actually did better than i ever imagined. He has no problem finding and pointing birds. When working with him i started to notice a bad habit. His point is soft until he actually sees the bird. Do you have any advice on how i can get him to trust his nose?

Great show. Would love to see an episode on Northern Nevada Chukar. Keep up the good work. Do you use a combination of shells in your o/u while hunting chukar? (7 on first shot and 6 on 2nd shot)? I have an old Beretta silver snipe that has no changeable chokes so I am looking for all the help and differentiation I can get! Look forward to the show each week. Thanks,

Just watched your Oklahoma Quail show. Were all 3 dogs French Britts? Breeder credits would be cool.
The older guy needs to ALWAYS frame his shots with sky. Was he Cheney's bro or something. Set a good example for the kids, darnit.
With my French Britts, the use of any gun slower or more elaborate than Grand Dad's .410 is just overkill'

Thanks Harley for a wonderful show. I appreciate your format & have enjoyed your episodes. It’s nice to see a show about traditional bird hunting. As an avid hunter my self, I think it’s important to show hunting as a way of life not just a string of kill shots. I also think it’s important to make people aware of the many aspects of dog hunting, from training your pups, to preparing the post hunt meal with good hunting buddies, & of course everything in-between. So keep up the good work & have you made an episode with a German Long Hair?

Hello,to all the American Gundog crew! Love the show, and I also love the diversity that is put into the show - rabbit hunting with beagles, hog hunting, bear hunting with hounds, and of coarse the bird hunting.
All I have to say is if yall are interested in keeping things interesting you need to visit www.sgdog.com/forums and talk with some of the folks about a squirrel dog show.I noticed that yall got to hunt over Mountain curs while doing the hog hunting show, well Mtn curs are just one of the breeds of squirrel dogs used by the folks on the forum.I think this would make an interesting show, please consider it.
thanks

Harley...Thanks for enabling me to relive my teen years hunting Perdiz in Uruguay, in the early 1960's...thot i'd died and gone to heaven!! I'll be retiring within a yr and perdiz hunting in Uruguay is on my "Bucket List"...I lived in Montevideo and it was just an hours drive to get out into the pampas and walk over an estancia to hunt...Please send me info & pricing for a 3 day hunt...I also enjoyed hunting martinetta, ducks & doves; do you offer any of those options as well? Looking forward to hearing from you...
